1940s Mold 2 Effanbee 15" Dy-Dee Jane Baby Doll with Rare Chocolate Brown Curls
 
One of the RARE dolls from my Dy-Dee collection... very hard to find with this beautiful dark brown wig... and in near mint condition.
 
Baby Dy-Dee has a near mint soft, supple rubber body, with firm joints that pose easily. Light even skin tone with no dryness or crazing... everything you want in a vintage rubber doll to ensure your delight in dressing and caring for her for another... what? 50 years?
 
Dy-Dee is a mold 2 issue Dy-Dee with the soft 'attached' rubber ears -- craze free and soft after all these years. Her dark, full, soft curly lambswool (caracul) wig contrasts with her 'alabaster' skin tone; she has just enough softt blush to show she is a healthy baby. All painted features are well-defined and intact. Bright and sparkling BLUE eyes have full, thick and even real hair lashes. They open and close easily as they should.
 
Baby wears her original blue shadow print dress, slip and matching bonnet. For these colder days, dress her in her pink cottton twill coat with a matching wide-brimmed bonnet. Underneath she wears her birdseye weave diaper and single button undershirt. The dress set has no flaws -- soft and flowing fabric; the elastic at the sleeve openings is fresh and springy. Her coat set has minor play wear only. I have included a New Old-Store-Stock pair of silk socks.
